NYT: In Vermont, ObamaCare flopped so bad it killed single payer
“When Barack Obama and Democrats on Capitol Hill first rolled out ObamaCare, conservatives warned that the program was so badly designed that it couldn’t possibly be on the level. Instead, people assumed that Democrats intended ObamaCare to fail — so that the only possible choice would be a single-payer system of socialized medicine. Even after Democrats reluctantly eliminated the “public option,” opponents insisted that the intended end game was failure so bad that it would destroy private insurance and leave nothing but the federal government to pick up the pieces.”
“A century of progressive domination of the American educational system has resulted in a growing number of Americans remaining mathematically illiterate. The Common Core standards are a repeat of previously failed federal policies which fail to develop academic skill making the study of mathematics needlessly boring and challenging for too many talented students. These federally supported educational policies have left our society short of talented mathematicians needed to make the American economy competitive with other nations.”
A Twitter storm has been raging today around the California parents who have stormed the castle in Sacramento to protest SB277. Here is my twitter stream from the past hour, and a video I made from a few of the speeches and photos tweeted out the past few hours.
The usual suspect, Old Man Winter, was dragged from his cell and paraded through the town square. The awesome power of Obamanomics was once again ambushed by the the climate, which the President claims is getting unbearably hotter every time he burns a zillion gallons of jet fuel to fly out to a photo-op, ramble on about science he understands no better than economics, and demand more money and power for his war against global warming.
It’s so hideously unfair to Obama that winters became cold for the first time in American history after he took office. How could his brilliant plans possibly have taken account of…
50. As per the Institute Of Medicine, USA, vaccine research for a probable link between vaccines and autism should not be conducted. The Institute of Medicine in its last report on vaccines and autism in 2004 said that more research on the vaccine question is counterproductive: Finding a susceptibility to this risk in some infants would call into question the universal vaccination strategy that is a bedrock of immunization programs and could lead to widespread rejection of vaccines.
The IOM concluded that efforts to find a link between vaccines and autism “must be balanced against the broader benefit of the current vaccine program for all children”. However inherently biased studies that try to disprove a link between vaccines and autism have been allowed and funded by the CDC. The Principal Coordinator of many of these…
A post earlier this year on Houston’s Reddit that mentioned late Russian president Boris Yeltsin’s wide-eyed trip to a Clear Lake grocery store led to a trip to the Houston Chronicle archives, where a batch of photos of the leader were found.
It was September 16, 1989 and Yeltsin, then newly elected to the new Soviet parliament and the Supreme Soviet, had just visited Johnson Space Center.
At JSC, Yeltsin visited mission control and a mock-up of a space station. According to Houston Chronicle reporter Stefanie Asin, it wasn’t all the screens, dials, and wonder at NASA that blew up his skirt, it was the unscheduled trip inside a nearby Randall’s location.
Yeltsin, then 58, “roamed the aisles of Randall’s nodding his head in amazement,” wrote Asin. He told his…
This is a reprint of an article that appeared in the Daily Caller a year ago showing internal Department of Education emails where government bureaucrats disparage then retaliate against me for speaking out against Common Core.
This is why teachers do not speak out against Common Core in Arizona or in other states and this is why I felt I needed to file suit, with the help of the Goldwater Institute, against the Department of Education for 1st Amendment retaliation. I really don’t know if much has changed in the last year.
Let’s see how long this link stays active before the AZ Dept of Ed sends a complaint to Facebook to get it removed. When I tried to link to my original article that was picked up by The Daily…
The Twitter hashtag #CDCWhistleblower is about to hit ONE BILLION TWEETS!
For the past few months a group of health freedom activists have been tweeting the hashtag to shine the light on the fact that a scientist named William Thompson has been given whistleblower status.
IN THE FALL OF 2009 I HAD JUST FINISHED UP A COUPLE MONTHS WORTH OF RESEARCH ON THE H1N1 VACCINE, AND WHAT I HAD LEARNED FRUSTRATED AND DISTURBED ME TO THE LEVEL THAT I ORGANIZED A “DON’T INJECT ME!” PROTEST AT THE CAPITOL IN DENVER AND INVITED ALL OF THE TOP VACCINE ACTIVISTS IN AMERICA TO ATTEND.
Sherri Kane and I gave the keynote address during the event and outed these evil doers as the source of the vaccine being dumped on the people of the world as well as those who made certain a flood of disinformation swept through the media psychological operation known as pharmaganda. Real medical journalists like Jane Burgermeister in Austria were shunned and fired from their jobs. And anyone who tried to speak out was silenced in a variety of ways. Five years ago at the capitol in Denver we called for these people to be arrested for crimes against humanity. Nothing has been done, yet.
But it is time. Genocide, profitable depopulation and intoxication is against the law. Who will have the will to stop them?
I understand the concerns and fears of families with sick children that coming into contact with my unvaccinated child may prove deadly to their child.
Because of those concerns we are going to self quarantine until the Measles outbreak is contained. Ben did not attend our church service yesterday and he stayed home from our homeschool musical theatre class on friday. I am going to keep him out of the library and grocery stores until the fears subside.
We homeschool, but will make an even bigger effort to stay home and limit contact with other children until the measles epidemic/media panic is over.
While it rages, here are some tweets, memes, and graphics prepared for your enlightenment and pleasure:
This morning I made Steel Cut Oats Cereal for Breakfast.
I also baked Raspberry Muffins, and A batch of Cinnamon Rolls made from Spelt and Red Wheat with Golden Flax Seeds. The beauty of cooking with whole grains is truly manifested in the “live food” aspect of the food. If I were to take the Oat Groats out in the garden and plant them, they would grow! The “seed” portion of the grain is in tact until it is cut, which is why store bought Steel Cut Oats are mostly a waste of money. Although steel cut oats are perhaps one of the best things you can purchase in the cereal isle of the grocery store, any time a seed is cut in half, within…
I participated in the twitter storms for a week or so and then my family started complaining that I was not participating in family life around the dinner hour. Since I have vowed to never let my activism frustrate time with my family, I let the parties go and I am sad to admit, I did not follow the story. Life took over and I frankly forgot about the nightly twitter storm until a reader invited me to participate again!…
