The LOGO of Blogging Mothers Magazine is a photo of Editor in Chief Jenny Hatch standing on her desecrated UN Flag at the Democratic National Convention in Denver august 2008. This photo was taken by The Peoples Press Collective at the only Pro Troop rally the sunday before the Convention.
Please note the UN Flag Hankie in her pocket. At the rally she was interviewed by dozens of reporters while handing out Hippy Hygiene Kits to Anti War Protestors. Dozens of photos were taken of her standing on the United Nations Flag. But Peoples Press was the only one to publish. Hmmmmm, I wonder why...

Watching TV coverage of about the escape of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight from sexual enslavement in Cleveland, I found myself becoming increasingly uneasy. I knew I would be talking about it to millions of Americans on a nationwide radio talk show that night, but didn't know what I wanted to say. On TV there were the usual discussions […]

Paul sings with a wonderful group of Men called The Master Singers. They held a series of concerts over the weekend, with the final Fathers Day performance at The Heritage Center in Cedar City Utah last night. It was such an amazing event. I was pleased that Paul was asked to give the opening prayer. … Read more
Last night our family marked several of our favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon. I purchased thirty Spanish books and we highlighted a few of them. We also plan to put our pictures and testimony in the front of each book and mail them to Jeff in Honduras to pass out to the people … Read more
Days before the official May 22 publication date of the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" (DSM-5), a number of psychiatrists who were closely associated with the project scrambled to do some preemptory damage control, mostly by lowering the expectations for what was to come.
Countries around the world are coming up with more and more elaborate tricks to pressure parents into fully vaccinating their children. Here are just a few...

Jenny Hatch with Ben about three hours after his Home Birth
61% of all Hospitalizations are in some form or fashion tied to Childbirth. The money generated by Birth is “what keeps the lights on” at the hospital. So, when we federalize medicine we are literally Socializing Birth. Collectivist Birth is messy, rationed, focused on the greater good and does not have the time or resources to cater to the individual needs of Mothers and Babies.
I love Family Birth because it is solely focused on the individual needs of the Mother, Baby, and Family at large. When a mother births in her own space, she has the autonomy to have it be about her needs, her family, and her agenda and goals rather than someone or something outside of her home.
Taking personal responsibility for Childbirth will free families from the balkanized mess that is going to descend upon the American Family these next few decades. Jenny HatchRead the rest of this entry »
This is perhaps the most insulting claim against home birthing Mothers, that we are somehow putting the “experience” of childbirth over the health and well being of our children.
It is a tired and pathetic claim and at the risk of insulting just about anyone who has chosen to have an epidural, does ANYONE at all believe that a Mother who requests every possible pain relieving drug an OB can offer is thinking about what is best for her child while she gives birth?
The poo can be flung both ways… here is a video backing up the assertion that Mothers looking for a tranformative experience are indeed thinking about what is best for baby. Read the rest of this entry »
So the President is going to propose a new economic plan after his vacay at Marthas Vineyard.
He should not waste the mental energy attempting to put it together, Ayn Rand has already done the heavy lifting on that topic by taking Collectivism in America to its logical conclusion with Directive 10-289 in the chapter Miracle Metal of Atlas Shrugged.
Ayn used Fiction to help her readers understand what Marxism “Looked Like” in real life by creating fictional characters who could be played today by any of the secular humanists currently embedded in our National Government.
Barack, Tim, David, and Gene could easily play Mr. Thompson, Wesley, Eugene, Floyd, and Fred in the upcoming second installment of Atlas Shrugged, the Movie. But the Prez and his Economic team are busy with vacations and writing even more talking points blaming all of the economic morass on tea party activists like me. And preparing a “really big show” for September takes a great deal of time…
Here is a quick synopsis of the Economic Plan of the Marxist Looters and Moochers from Rands book:
(I really think to be congruent the President and his Economic Advisers should just bite the bullet and publish this plan as the logical next step.) Read the rest of this entry »
Last night at the Louisville Rec Center our LDS Ward hosted a Food Storage Know How Class for our Community. We had three speakers and a Q & A after the lectures. I was happy to be included in the mix and had my husband video tape my thoughts to share here on my blog.
Most of my writings revolve around Self Reliant Mothering and this class was just an extension of all of my long term efforts to put the tools of Mothering into the hands of the women who are looking for them. Having a supply of basic food stuffs is one of the most effective and healthy things a family can do to further their own economic and health goals.
